Rick was a college student dating William Clockwell. D.A. Sinclair kidnapped him and turned him into a Reaniman — a cyborg soldier. His transformation gives the Reaniman plotline its emotional weight: this isn't abstract horror, it's William's boyfriend, a person with a name and a life, converted into a weapon. Rick's existence as a Reaniman is the most personal argument against Cecil's pragmatism.
Originally a normal young man. After Sinclair's process, partially cybernetic — mechanical components grafted onto his body, one eye replaced with a lens, movements jerky and mechanical. The horror is in the details: the human features still visible beneath the machinery.
