Martian Man was the Guardians' shapeshifter and telepath — an alien who chose to protect Earth alongside its native heroes. His presence on the team suggested that Earth's defense was always a coalition, not just a human effort. Omni-Man killed him along with the rest, alien solidarity meaning nothing against Viltrumite supremacy.
In his natural form, a tall green-skinned alien with elongated features. Often shapeshifts to appear more human. Wears a dark costume with a cape in his hero form.
