An ancient Netherese flying city entombed beneath the Reghed Glacier — its magic still pulses in the ice, preserving wonders and horrors from an age long dead.
Ythryn exists in a state of suspended catastrophe. The city crashed into the glacier during the fall of Netheril millennia ago, and the ice has preserved it so perfectly that food left on tables appears freshly prepared. But nothing here is truly still — the mythallar's residual magic creates zones of wild magical effects, time distortions, and animated constructs that still patrol their ancient routes. The cold is supernaturally intense, beyond what mere ice can explain. The architecture reflects Netherese hubris — grand beyond practical need, decorated with arcane formulae that make the walls themselves magical. Undead Netherese wizards haunt the frozen corridors, trapped between death and the mythallar's preserving energy.
A city of graceful Netherese architecture frozen in the moment of its crash — towers of pale stone tilted at impossible angles, bridges snapped mid-span, streets buckled by impact. Everything is encased in blue-white glacial ice that preserves the city in eerie perfection. The mythallar — a massive crystal sphere that once powered the city's flight — still glows faintly at the city's heart, casting shifting light through the ice.
