Xardorok Sunblight's duergar stronghold hidden in the Spine of the World — a forge of corrupted chardalyn where a weapon of annihilation is being built.
Sunblight Fortress thrums with industrial purpose. The heat from the forges is oppressive even by duergar standards, and the air is thick with metalite dust and the acrid smoke of chardalyn being smelted. Duergar workers move in silent, disciplined shifts, assembling the chardalyn dragon under Xardorok's obsessive supervision. The corridors echo with the clank of chains — slaves captured from the surface are worked to death in the deeper mines. Xardorok's madness permeates the fortress like a smell, his paranoia translating into guard patrols, loyalty tests, and the occasional execution to maintain discipline.
A fortress carved into a mountain's interior by duergar hands, its halls lit by the hellish orange glow of forges burning day and night. The architecture is brutally functional — low ceilings, thick walls, and everywhere the smell of hot metal and the rhythmic pounding of hammers. The main forge chamber is dominated by the half-constructed chardalyn dragon, a monstrous construct of black crystal and iron.
