A prosperous town on Lac Dinneshere and the traditional starting point for adventurers in the Dale — welcoming on the surface, but hiding dark currents beneath.
Easthaven cultivates an image of Ten-Towns hospitality — the kind of place that welcomes travelers with hot meals and warm beds before the real dangers begin. The White Lady Inn hums with conversation and the clink of tankards, its common room kept almost uncomfortably warm by an enormous stone hearth. Beneath this welcoming facade, Easthaven is a town of simmering resentments. Speaker Danneth Waylen's disappearance under the Rime has left a power vacuum. The Cauldron, a tavern by the docks, serves as a meeting place for those with darker inclinations. The ferry dock stands idle as Lac Dinneshere freezes deeper each tenday, cutting off the connection to Caer-Dineval that once kept commerce flowing.
A well-built town on the southern shore of Lac Dinneshere, with a proper stone ferry dock and a town square dominated by the White Lady Inn. The buildings are better maintained than most Ten-Towns settlements, with actual glass windows and painted shutters. A half-finished town hall speaks to ambitions that outpaced the budget. The Easthaven ferry connects to Caer-Dineval across the lake when the water isn't frozen solid.
