A volcanic dungeon complex within the Spine of the World — a lair of yuan-ti and other horrors, its heat a deadly counterpoint to the surrounding freeze.
Dragon's Eye is a descent from arctic cold into infernal heat. The temperature shift is disorienting — within a few hundred feet, adventurers go from frostbite risk to heatstroke danger. The lower levels reek of sulfur, reptilian musk, and the sweet-rot smell of yuan-ti alchemy. The yuan-ti have carved a temple complex in the deepest chambers, their serpentine architecture flowing organically along the volcanic stone. The whole complex pulses with geothermal energy, and tremors shake the walls at irregular intervals — a reminder that the mountain is not truly dormant.
A series of caverns descending into a volcanic vent within the mountains, the entrance disguised as a natural cave. The upper levels are cold stone, but the temperature rises sharply with each descent. The deeper chambers glow with volcanic heat — rivers of magma illuminate walls carved with serpentine reliefs. Steam vents create a perpetual humid haze that obscures vision and makes every surface slick.
