The smallest fishing village on Lac Dinneshere — perpetually overshadowed by its rival Caer-Dineval, clinging to survival through sheer stubbornness.
Caer-Konig exists in a state of quiet desperation even by Ten-Towns standards. The town is small enough that everyone knows everyone's business, and the arrival of a stranger is an event discussed for days. The wind off the lake is vicious, and the buildings provide minimal shelter. Fish drying on racks outside the houses fills the air with a sharp, briny tang. The rivalry with Caer-Dineval extends back generations and provides one of the few sources of communal identity — the people of Caer-Konig may not have much, but at least they aren't Dineval folk.
A handful of weathered buildings clustered around a modest dock on the northeastern shore of Lac Dinneshere. The structures lean against each other as if for warmth. A single path leads up from the lake to the Hook, Line, and Sinker tavern, the only building with a second story.
