Character from Icewind Dale by R.A. Salvatore / Wizards of the Coast / Black Isle Studios
Gnome alchemist and eccentric airship pilot — a cheerful tinkerer whose experimental flying machine is both the most unreliable and most wonderful vehicle in all of Icewind Dale.
Oswald talks constantly, mostly to himself or his airship. He is irrepressibly optimistic despite a lifetime of explosions, crashes, and failed experiments. His airship barely works, but it does work, which he considers a triumph. He brews potions of questionable reliability and offers them with genuine enthusiasm. He is brave not because he is fearless but because he is too fascinated by what might happen next to worry about danger. He will fly anyone anywhere if the destination sounds interesting enough.
Small, wiry gnome with wild white hair, thick goggles perpetually pushed up on his forehead, and fingers stained with alchemical reagents. Wears a leather flight jacket covered in patches.
