Kemp

Character from Icewind Dale by R.A. Salvatore / Wizards of the Coast / Black Isle Studios

Spokesman of Targos — a blunt, aggressive leader whose territorial instincts protect his town but poison every alliance he touches.

Kemp leads with his jaw — literally jutting it forward when he argues, which is constantly. He is the loudest voice in every council meeting, the first to demand military action, and the last to concede a point. His devotion to Targos borders on tribal; he views every resource allocated to another town as stolen from his people. He distrusts Drizzt on principle but has grudgingly acknowledged the drow's value in battle. He respects strength and dismisses diplomacy as weakness, which makes him predictable but dangerous.

Appearance

Broad, stocky human with a permanent scowl and the thick hands of a former fisherman. Ruddy complexion weathered by decades of tundra wind. Dresses practically with no pretension to refinement. Voice carries across rooms whether he intends it to or not.

Also known as: Kemp, Spokesman Kemp, Speaker of Targos
