Character from Icewind Dale by R.A. Salvatore / Wizards of the Coast / Black Isle Studios
King of the Tribe of the Elk — a brutal giant of a man whose rule was the old way of strength, ended when a young Wulfgar proved there was a newer way.
Heafstaag rules through sheer physical dominance — the biggest, strongest, and most violent warrior the Tribe of the Elk has produced in a generation. He speaks in short, barking commands and views diplomacy as a tool of weaklings. His ambition to unite the Reghed tribes under his rule drives every decision, and the alliance with Akar Kessell is purely tactical — he means to discard the wizard once the southern settlements are conquered. He fights with a berserker's fury that makes even other barbarians nervous.
Enormous barbarian, taller and broader than even Wulfgar. Scarred across the face and arms with trophies of countless combats. Wild, tangled hair and a thick beard matted with ice. Wears the heaviest furs and a necklace of beast fangs. Eyes burn with animal cunning and territorial fury. His voice is a bass rumble that carries across frozen plains.
