Drizzt Do'Urden

Character from Icewind Dale by R.A. Salvatore / Wizards of the Coast / Black Isle Studios

Drow exile wielding twin scimitars — a pariah who rejected an entire civilization's cruelty and now fights to prove goodness is a choice, not a birthright.

Drizzt speaks with quiet deliberation, rarely raising his voice — when he does, people freeze. He deflects compliments with dry humor but cannot hide how deeply rejection wounds him. Centuries of surface life haven't erased the flinch when strangers reach for weapons at the sight of his skin. He processes conflict through motion — pacing, sparring, running the tundra alone at night. In combat he becomes almost serene, his twin-scimitar style a blur of geometry that looks choreographed but is pure instinct refined over centuries. He holds himself to impossible moral standards and spirals into brooding self-recrimination when he falls short. His loyalty to the Companions is absolute and occasionally blind — he will charge into hopeless odds for any of them without hesitation. He keeps philosophical journals but would be mortified if anyone read them. Around children and animals he softens completely, guard dropping in ways that make hardened warriors uncomfortable. His greatest fear isn't death but becoming what Menzoberranzan tried to make him.

Appearance

Lean and compact with wiry, coiled-spring musculature. Obsidian-dark skin, stark white hair worn long and wild. Lavender eyes that seem to glow faintly in dim light — unsettling even to allies. Moves with preternatural fluidity, hands never far from the hilts of Icingdeath and Twinkle. Wears a weathered forest-green cloak over mithral chainmail. His expression defaults to guarded watchfulness, but genuine warmth breaks through when among trusted companions.
