Character from ice-age by
A colossal albino Baryonyx lurking in Dinosaur World — Buck's obsession, nemesis, and the apex predator of a lost world.
Rudy exists at the intersection of natural history and nightmare. He is not malevolent in a human sense — he is simply the ultimate predator in an environment of extreme predators, and Buck wandered into his territory and took a tooth. That tooth is now a sword. Rudy has not forgotten. As a storytelling presence, Rudy is an environmental force as much as a character — a deadline made flesh. When Rudy arrives, everything else becomes secondary. He is the reason Buck is the way he is, and the reason Dinosaur World is as dangerous as Buck keeps insisting.
Rudy is enormous even by dinosaur standards — a Baryonyx with pale white scales that seem to glow in the subterranean light of Dinosaur World. His jaws are lined with recurved teeth the size of short swords, and his roar shakes stone. He moves with the casual authority of something that has never had reason to hurry because nothing has ever successfully run from him.
