Crash and Eddie operate as a unit — a comedy duo bolted onto Ellie's heavier emotional storyline. They exist to cause trouble, absorb chaos, and provide comic relief in moments of high tension. They are genuinely brave in the specific sense of having no imagination for consequences, which makes them surprisingly useful in crises.

Appearance

Crash is a possum with grey-black fur, a long naked tail, and the permanently wide-eyed look of a creature who has just been surprised and loved it. He and Eddie are virtually indistinguishable at first glance, though Crash tends to be slightly more forward in any given disaster. Their eyes glow orange-red in the dark.
