A wildly eccentric one-eyed weasel who has been living alone in the underground Dinosaur World for so long that his sanity is now largely decorative.
Buck went underground to escape — and found an entire world. He has been living in the Dinosaur World alone, hunting, surviving, and quietly going feral in the most entertaining possible way. He develops a nemesis relationship with Rudy, a massive albino Baryonyx, that gives his isolation purpose and meaning. As a storytelling presence, Buck is a chaos element who is also, surprisingly, competent. His advice is always correct but always delivered in a way that sounds insane. He narrates his own backstory in third person. He will sing. He is the best guide you could possibly have and also the most exhausting person to travel with.
Buck is a wiry, compact weasel with patchy brown fur and one eye — the other covered by a leaf patch. His remaining eye burns with manic intensity. He carries a makeshift sword fashioned from a dinosaur's tooth and moves with the erratic precision of someone who has survived too many things for too long. His tail has seen better days.
