Kukuroo Mountain — the Zoldyck family's compound on a mountain so dangerous that the Testing Gate at the entrance weighs tons, and the guard dog is a Nen-enhanced monster the size of a house.
The Zoldyck estate is both a home and a fortress — a compound designed to be impenetrable by anyone the family doesn't want inside. Mike (the guard dog) kills unauthorized visitors. The Testing Gates scale in weight to filter out the unworthy. The mountain itself is part of the security system. Inside, it's the home of the world's most famous assassination family: butlers who are combat-trained, family members whose powers could level cities, and Alluka's sealed containment room in the deepest section. Gon and his friends breaking in to rescue Killua is the first time the series demonstrates that determination can overcome institutional power.
A massive estate built into and on top of Kukuroo Mountain. The entrance is a set of Testing Gates — enormous doors that require increasing strength to open (the lightest door weighs 4 tons). Beyond the gates: forested mountain terrain patrolled by guard dogs, with the family's main mansion at the summit. The architecture is grand and isolated.
