Greed Island

Location from Hunter x Hunter by Yoshihiro Togashi

A Nen-powered video game world created by Ging — an island where cards are real, quests have lethal consequences, and the game's completion is Gon's best lead to finding his father.

Greed Island is Ging's masterpiece — an entire island transformed into a Nen-powered card game where players can interact with a real world that operates on game mechanics. Cards represent items, spells, and transformations; monsters and quests are real and lethal; and the game's completion requires collecting 100 specific cards. Gon entered Greed Island because Ging created it, making it a breadcrumb on the trail to his father. The island is where Biscuit trained Gon and Killua, where Genthru terrorized players, and where Gon mastered Jajanken. It's the series' most creative worldbuilding — a literal game world that functions through the same Nen system as everything else.

Appearance

A tropical island that appears to be a normal landmass but is actually a Nen-constructed game zone. The terrain varies: forests, deserts, cities, and dungeons, each corresponding to different card quests. It looks like a fantasy RPG overworld made real through Nen.
