The Royal Guard built for combat — a shapeshifting powerhouse who is the simplest of the three Guards and, because of it, the one who grows the most honestly during the invasion.
Youpi is the Royal Guard's bruiser — raw combat power incarnate. He has no specific animal instincts tempering his loyalty (unlike Pitou's cat nature or Pouf's butterfly scheming), which means his character development during the Palace Invasion is the most straightforward: he fights Knuckle, Shoot, and Morel, and through the experience of facing opponents who won't give up despite being weaker, he begins to develop respect for human determination. His growth is cut short by the Miniature Rose's poison, but the moments where he hesitates — where he considers sparing opponents he's come to respect — are the Chimera Ant arc's quiet proof that even beings designed for war can learn.
Massive and monstrous — a hulking red-skinned humanoid with no distinct animal features (he's made from magical beasts, not a single animal). He shapeshifts constantly in combat, growing additional limbs, wings, armor plates, and weapons from his body as needed.
