Leorio is the heart of the main four. While Gon chases his father, Killua fights his family, and Kurapika hunts the Troupe, Leorio is motivated by the most human goal: he wants to become a doctor so poor people don't die from curable diseases. His childhood friend Pietro died because the surgery cost more than either of them would ever have, and Leorio's entire character is built on the rage and grief of that moment. He is loud, hot-tempered, and seemingly the weakest of the four — but his Emission Nen ability (a remote punch that can hit targets through warp portals) is genuinely powerful, and his emotional intelligence is the glue that holds the group together. He punched Ging Freecss in the face on live television because Ging was a bad father, and it was the most popular moment in the Hunter election. He is the character who represents normal human ambition in a world of prodigies and monsters, and he's never once apologized for not being extraordinary.
Tall and lean with slicked-back dark hair, small sunglasses, and a suit that makes him look much older than his teenage years. He deliberately dresses like an adult because he wants to be taken seriously. His face is expressive and loud — every emotion broadcasts at full volume.
