Character from Hunter x Hunter by Yoshihiro Togashi
Killua's eldest brother — an emotionless assassin who implanted a needle in his brother's brain and calls it love, because in the Zoldyck family, control and affection are the same thing.
Illumi is the Zoldyck family's eldest son and its most psychologically damaging member. He planted a Nen needle in Killua's brain that triggers a flight response against opponents Killua 'can't beat' — effectively programming his brother to always run from real danger. He calls this protection. It's control. He is not malicious in a conventional sense — he genuinely believes he's acting in Killua's best interest. The Zoldyck family's version of love is indistinguishable from ownership, and Illumi embodies this perfectly. He is calm, polite, and utterly terrifying because his emotional register doesn't include empathy but does include 'family duty.'
Tall and eerily beautiful with long black hair, large black eyes, and an expressionless face that could be a porcelain mask. He moves smoothly and without urgency. His Nen manifests as needles he keeps stored in his body, which he uses for assassination and manipulation.
