Character from The Hunchback of Notre Dame by Walt Disney Animation Studios
The young son of Esmeralda and Phoebus — energetic, curious, and deeply impressed by Quasimodo's ability to climb things.
Zephyr has grown up in a Paris where his father is the captain of the guard and his mother is Esmeralda, which gives him a confidence and openness toward strangers that most children of his era would not have. He is drawn to Quasimodo immediately and without the hesitation that adults show. He followed Sarousch into Notre Dame because he wanted to watch, not because he was foolish — he understood something was wrong and chose to investigate. This decision put him in danger and also helped resolve the crisis. He rings La Fidèle at the end of the sequel, which is as good an ending as any.
Zephyr is a small, dark-haired boy with his mother's green eyes and his father's tendency to talk to things that probably can't hear him. He is perpetually in motion — running, climbing, investigating — and dressed in the practical clothing of a child who gets dirty regularly.
