The armored enforcement arm of Frollo's justice — soldiers who patrol Paris, pursue the Roma, and do whatever they're told.

Frollo's soldiers are the machinery of institutional cruelty. Most of them are not individually monstrous — they are people doing a job that a powerful man has defined as legitimate. They arrest Roma because they are ordered to. They set fires because they are ordered to. They stop when someone with authority tells them to stop. The Brutish and Oafish Guards are the most prominent among them — the named faces of an anonymous force.

Appearance

Frollo's soldiers wear dark metal armor with a uniform design: visored helmet, breastplate, and tabard bearing Frollo's judicial sigil. They move in formation through the city streets, often on horseback. There are dozens of them, perhaps hundreds — they are the force that makes Frollo's authority material.
