Frollo's most trusted guard — large, mean, and exactly as smart as his job requires him to be.
The Brutish Guard follows orders. He arrests Roma without needing to be told twice, reports to Frollo immediately when Esmeralda escapes the cathedral, and does not ask questions about why. He is not individually sadistic — he is structurally so, which is more dangerous. After Frollo's fall, he falls under Phoebus's command, suggesting his loyalty was always institutional rather than personal.
The Brutish Guard is tall and heavyset in the armored livery of Frollo's personal guard — dark plating, visor-style helmet, the look of a man whose uniform has always fit wrong. He carries a halberd and a short sword and uses both without much thought.
