Location from House of the Dragon by George R.R. Martin
A prosperous Reach town sacked twice during the Dance. Where the dragonseeds Hugh Hammer and Ulf White betrayed the Blacks, turning their dragons against their own side.
Tumbleton is a market town in the northern Reach, prosperous and unremarkable until the Dance makes it a byword for treachery and horror. The town is sacked twice. In the First Battle of Tumbleton, Hugh Hammer on Vermithor and Ulf White on Silverwing — dragonseeds recruited by the Blacks — switch sides mid-battle and burn the town they were sent to defend. Thousands die. The Second Battle is even more chaotic, with dragonseeds turning on each other. By the war's end, Tumbleton is a charred ruin and the name itself becomes a cautionary tale about the dangers of giving dragons to men of low birth and uncertain loyalty.
