Location from House of the Dragon by George R.R. Martin
The most fertile and populous kingdom in Westeros, breadbasket of the realm. Largely Green-aligned during the Dance through House Hightower's influence.
The Reach is the agricultural heartland of Westeros — a vast expanse of fertile plains, rolling hills, and gentle rivers that produces more food than any other region. It is the most populous of the Seven Kingdoms and fields the largest armies. The Tyrells rule as Lords of Highgarden, but during the Dance period, real power in the Reach flows from Oldtown and the Hightowers. The region is firmly Green-aligned, providing troops, gold, and the political influence of the Citadel's maesters. The Reach's towns and fields become battlegrounds as Black forces push south, and Tumbleton's sacking devastates one of its most prosperous communities.
Southernmost fertile region of Westeros. Breadbasket of the realm. Green-aligned during the Dance. Seat of House Tyrell at Highgarden, but the Hightowers of Oldtown are the true power.
