Location from House of the Dragon by George R.R. Martin
A vast lake in the Riverlands containing the Isle of Faces. Where Daemon Targaryen on Caraxes fought Aemond Targaryen on Vhagar in the most legendary duel of the Dance.
The Gods Eye is the largest lake in the Riverlands, its still waters reflecting the sky like a great dark mirror. At its center sits the Isle of Faces, where the Children of the Forest and the First Men signed the Pact thousands of years ago — the weirwood trees there are said to still have watching faces carved in them. Above this ancient, sacred place, the most famous combat of the Dance takes place. Daemon Targaryen on Caraxes meets Aemond Targaryen on Vhagar. Daemon leaps from his dragon onto Aemond's, driving Dark Sister through his nephew's remaining eye. Both dragons and both riders fall into the lake. Caraxes crawls ashore to die. Vhagar sinks beneath the waters. Daemon's body is never found. It is the moment that breaks both factions — the Blacks lose their greatest warrior, and the Greens lose their most dangerous.
Great lake in the Riverlands with the Isle of Faces at its center. Where Daemon and Aemond fought their legendary final duel atop Caraxes and Vhagar. Both died.
