Location from House of the Dragon by George R.R. Martin
Island seat of House Velaryon, the richest house in Westeros. Home to High Tide castle, built with the wealth of Corlys Velaryon's legendary nine voyages.
Driftmark is an island in Blackwater Bay, close to Dragonstone but distinct in character — where Dragonstone is volcanic and martial, Driftmark is maritime and mercantile. The Velaryons have ruled here since before the Doom of Valyria, and Corlys the Sea Snake made it the wealthiest seat in the realm. The island's harbors shelter the largest fleet in Westeros. Its castle, High Tide, is filled with treasures from distant shores. During the Dance, Driftmark is firmly Black-aligned, and its fleet forms the naval backbone of Rhaenyra's forces until the Battle of the Gullet devastates it.
Low-lying island in Blackwater Bay. Castle High Tide rises above the harbor, its halls filled with treasures from Corlys Velaryon's nine voyages — Valyrian steel, jade, spices, and maps of waters no Westerosi had sailed.
