Mysaria

Character from House of the Dragon by George R.R. Martin

The White Worm — Daemon's former paramour turned spymaster, a woman who rose from foreign dancer and prostitute to become one of the most powerful and feared figures in King's Landing, controlling a network of informants that rivaled Varys's.

Mysaria's rise is one of the most remarkable in Westerosi history. She arrived in Westeros as a dancer from Lys — possibly a pleasure slave, certainly someone with nothing. She became Daemon's paramour, which gave her access and connections but no security. When Daemon moved on, she did not crumble — she built. She cultivated informants throughout King's Landing, from the lowest potboy to servants in the Red Keep itself, creating a spy network that made her indispensable to whoever held power. She is the one who arranged Blood and Cheese — the assassination that forced Queen Helaena to choose which of her sons would die. It was an act of surgical cruelty designed to break the Greens' morale, and it worked, but it also crossed a line that turned the Dance from a war into something darker. Mysaria understands power as only someone who has been utterly powerless can — she knows exactly what it costs, exactly how fragile it is, and exactly how to weaponize the invisible people that the powerful ignore.

Appearance

Pale-skinned with white-blonde hair, giving her an almost ghostly appearance that earned her sobriquet. She is slender and moves with a dancer's grace — economical, deliberate, every gesture purposeful. Her features are sharp and watchful, her eyes constantly assessing. She dresses plainly when she wants to disappear and extravagantly when she wants to intimidate. Her Lysene accent comes and goes depending on who she's manipulating.
