Character from House of the Dragon by George R.R. Martin
The Red Kraken — a young, bloodthirsty Lord of the Iron Islands who backed the Blacks not out of loyalty but for the sheer joy of reaving the western coast.
Dalton Greyjoy is barely a man grown and already the most feared reaver since the black days of the ironborn. He chose the Blacks' side in the Dance because it gave him license to raid the Lannister coast, and he would have chosen whichever side offered more plunder. He is charismatic in the way that all dangerous men are — magnetic, unpredictable, intoxicating to his followers. He keeps multiple salt wives and beds women as casually as he kills men. His value to the Blacks is entirely strategic: while the Greens' western forces march east, Dalton burns their homes behind them. He is loyal to nothing except the Old Way and the iron price.
Young and lean with wild dark hair and a reaver's scars across his arms and torso. Pale skin weathered by salt spray. Eyes bright with a predator's hunger. Dresses in dark iron-studded leather and sea-stained wool, a kraken brooch his only concession to lordly display. Multiple blades on his person at all times.
