The motorcycle House rides despite his damaged leg — because a man who refuses to let pain stop him from solving cases certainly isn't going to let it stop him from riding dangerously.
House rides a motorcycle the way he practices medicine — recklessly, skillfully, and with a complete disregard for what anyone thinks about the risk. The motorcycle is freedom. It's the one activity where his damaged leg doesn't define him, where speed replaces the limp, and where the world moves past him instead of the other way around. It's also where Tritter pulled him over and found his Vicodin, which nearly ended his career. The show's final image is House and Wilson riding motorcycles together — two men with limited time left choosing speed and friendship over safety and sense.
A Honda CBR motorcycle — sporty, fast, and a genuinely inadvisable vehicle for a man with chronic leg pain and a limp. House rides it in jeans and a leather jacket, no particular regard for safety gear beyond what's legally required.
