Character from House M.D. by David Shore
A medical prodigy and strict moralist who joined House's team as a temporary fellow — the only person who consistently refused to lie for House, which he found infuriating and secretly admirable.
Masters was a medical prodigy who entered medical school at an unusually young age and arrived on House's team as a temporary replacement. She is fiercely honest — not in House's 'brutal truth' way, but in a genuine, principled refusal to deceive patients under any circumstances. House tried to break this principle repeatedly. He failed repeatedly. It drove him insane and earned his grudging respect. She's brilliant but rigid, the kind of person who follows every rule not because she's afraid of consequences but because she genuinely believes the rules exist for good reasons. In a team built on rule-breaking, she was the control group.
Early twenties, young-looking with glasses and an earnest, studious demeanor that makes her look even younger. Dresses conservatively and practically. Carries herself with the rigid posture of someone who has never once relaxed about getting the right answer.
