Location from Hollow Knight by Team Cherry
The Pale King's vanished palace — existing only in the Dream Realm now, a beautiful and lethal labyrinth of buzzsaws surrounding a dead king on his throne.
The White Palace doesn't physically exist anymore — it vanished from Hallownest along with the Pale King. It persists only in the Dream Realm, accessed by Dream Nailing a Kingsmould in the Ancient Basin. Inside, the palace is simultaneously the most beautiful and most frustrating location in the game. The platforming is brutally precise. Buzzsaws line every corridor. Spikes emerge from floors. The palace was not designed to be navigated — it was designed to be survived, or perhaps to ensure no one reached the throne room. Whether this reflects the Pale King's paranoia, his testing of the Vessels, or the distorted nature of a dream is left ambiguous. At the throne sits the Pale King's corpse, clutching the other half of the Kingsoul. His Dream Nail reading is silent. He has nothing left to say.
Pristine white and light grey architecture — tall windows, elegant arches, grand hallways. Overgrown with pale grey-white vegetation and roots. The aesthetic is regal, cold, and inhuman. Every room is a precision platforming gauntlet: buzzsaws, spike floors, retracting platforms, and thorns. The palace is beautiful and murderous — the Pale King's character made architectural. His corpse sits on the central throne, small and still.
