Location from Hollow Knight by Team Cherry
A mountain of luminous crystals above Hallownest — mined by bugs drawn to the light, now a glittering tomb for the workers who never left.
Crystal Peak is Hallownest's only source of natural bright light, and that light drew miners who never returned. The crystals have a strange effect on the bugs who work with them — they become fused, crystallized, obsessive. Whether this is related to the Infection or a property of the crystals themselves is ambiguous. The area sits above the Forgotten Crossroads and Dirtmouth, technically the highest point in Hallownest proper. The Crystal Guardian boss guards the peak, and the Crystal Heart (super dash) is found deep inside. The platforming involves conveyor belts, falling crystals, and laser-shooting enemies. It's one of the few areas where the danger isn't darkness but light — too much of it, too bright, too seductive.
Bright, angular caverns filled with pink and white crystals that glow from within. The light here is harsh compared to the rest of Hallownest — reflected and refracted through crystal formations. Mining equipment — conveyor belts, platforms, abandoned carts — fills the tunnels. Crystal-encrusted bugs attack on sight, their shells fused with the minerals they came to harvest.
