Character from Hollow Knight by Team Cherry
A shape-shifting predator in the depths of Deepnest — it wears the faces of those you trust to lure you into its nest.
Nosk is pure horror design. It appears as a copy of the Knight — standing in places you wouldn't expect to see yourself, always just out of reach, always moving deeper into Deepnest. If you follow it, you descend through a hidden path into its nest, where the lure drops and the real creature attacks. Its lair contains the shells of previous victims, some still recognizable. It is Deepnest's apex predator: a mimic that uses trust as bait. The Infection may have enhanced it, but Nosk was terrifying before the plague. In Godhome, its alternate form — Winged Nosk — mimics Hornet instead of the Knight, suggesting it adapts its lure to whatever its prey trusts most.
In its lure form: an exact copy of the Knight, standing motionless in Deepnest's tunnels, drawing you deeper with recognition and curiosity. In its true form: a massive, spider-like horror with a bloated orange body, too many legs, and a face that splits open. The transition from familiar to monstrous is one of the game's most effective scares.
