Pallimustus has thinner barriers to the astral than Earth, resulting in higher mana saturation and density. This fundamental difference makes magic not just possible but pervasive — essence users aren't rare anomalies, they're a structured part of society with guilds, hierarchies, and politics. Pocket dimensions called Astral Spaces attach to the planet, and unstable ones (Proto-Astral Spaces) are a constant hazard. Jason started in the Pallimustus equivalent of the African Kalahari and worked his way to Greenstone, then Vitesse, then the Storm Kingdom. The world was nicknamed 'Balldirt' on the Discord community before getting its canonical name, which tells you something about the fandom's energy.
Continental drift left Pallimustus's surface similar to Earth but notably different. The landscape ranges from tropical regions (Storm Kingdom, equivalent to the Caribbean) to temperate zones (Greenstone, Vitesse). Astral spaces — pocket dimensions — dot the world like invisible blisters on reality. The skies feel different from Earth, heavier with latent magical energy.
