Hell's binding agreements — magical contracts that transfer ownership of a demon's soul to an Overlord, granting absolute power over the signee.
Soul contracts are the legal and magical infrastructure of Hell's power structure. Overlords collect them — Alastor owns Husk's soul (won in a card game), Valentino owns Angel Dust's soul (terms unknown). The contracts grant the owner control over the signee — commands must be obeyed, freedom is conditional, and breaking a contract requires either destroying the holder or terms no one has identified. The contracts are invisible most of the time, but they manifest as chains when the owned soul tries to resist or when the owner exerts control. They're the show's most potent metaphor for systemic power — invisible bonds that feel like freedom until you try to leave.
Manifests as glowing documents written in infernal script, sealed with the signatures of both parties. When active, ethereal chains — visible only in moments of vulnerability — connect the owned soul to their master. Alastor's chains glow green. Angel Dust's glow red. The contracts themselves are physical documents that can be stored, but their power is metaphysical.
