He's not mindlessly cruel — he's strategic about it, maintaining control through a cycle of punishment and reward that keeps his workers dependent and confused. In the Vees, he's the revenue engine — the porn studios and nightclubs generate the cash that funds Vox's tech empire. He's volatile where Vox is calculating, throwing tantrums that destroy property and people. But he's not stupid. He knows exactly how much he can push before Vox intervenes, and he knows Angel Dust's soul contract is his most valuable asset. He treats people like content. Everything is a performance, a product, or a problem to be managed. The only people he doesn't treat disposably are Vox and Velvette, and even that's transactional.
