Saint Peter guards the Golden Gates of Heaven and is the first face newly arrived souls see. He's bureaucratic but not unkind — a functionary in a system he doesn't question. When Sir Pentious arrived in Heaven after his redemption, Saint Peter was part of the processing — the mundane face of a miracle.
