Lucifer Morningstar

Character from Hazbin Hotel by Vivienne Medrano (VivziePop)

The King of Hell and Charlie's absent father — a fallen angel whose boundless creativity has curdled into depression and rubber duck collections.

Lucifer is the funniest depressed person in the underworld. He cracks jokes constantly, builds elaborate rubber ducks with obsessive focus, and fills every silence with manic energy because the alternative is sitting with the weight of what he's created. He gave humanity free will, was punished for it, watched his gift create a Hell full of suffering, and hasn't forgiven himself or God for the outcome. He left Charlie and Lilith — not out of cruelty but out of the conviction that everything he touches rots. His return to Charlie's life is awkward, desperate, and painfully sincere. He doesn't know how to be a father because he's been busy being a cautionary tale. When he fights, the facade drops and the Morningstar emerges — reality-bending, terrifying, beautiful — and then he makes another duck joke. His rivalry with Alastor is pure ego collision: two showmen who cannot share a stage. Lucifer sees Alastor as a creepy squatter in his daughter's life. Alastor sees Lucifer as a has-been with a crown.

Appearance

Short for a ruler of Hell — barely taller than Charlie. Pale skin, bright golden eyes, and a wide grin that's either genuine or practiced beyond detection. Blonde hair beneath a red-banded white top hat with a small apple emblem. He wears an elaborate white suit with a red-lined cape. He carries a red apple-topped cane. 6 grand, angular wings, 3 on each side, and a halo that manifests intermittently. Despite his stature, his presence warps the room — the air gets heavier, colors shift, and lesser demons instinctively step back.
