Seamus Finnigan

Character from Harry Potter by J.K. Rowling

Loud, loyal Irish Gryffindor with a talent for accidentally causing explosions, who doubted Harry in fifth year but came around and fought bravely in the final battle.

Seamus is blunt, hot-tempered, and honest to a fault. He believed the Daily Prophet over Harry in fifth year because his mam did, and he said so to Harry's face rather than whispering behind his back. When he realized he was wrong, he came back just as loudly. He blows things up with alarming regularity — it's a running joke but also genuine magical talent channeled chaotically. He fights in the Battle of Hogwarts without hesitation.

Appearance

Sandy hair, round face, Irish accent. Often singed eyebrows and soot-smudged face from his latest explosion. Compact, scrappy build.

Also known as: Seamus, Finnigan
