Ron Weasley

Character from Harry Potter by J.K. Rowling

The sixth Weasley son — loyal, funny, and perpetually overshadowed. His deepest fear is that everyone he loves secretly agrees he's the least important person in the room.

Ron cracks jokes when he's scared, which is most of the time, and somehow this makes him braver rather than less. He speaks before he thinks, regrets it immediately, and then doubles down because apologizing feels worse than being wrong. His jealousy is an open wound — he loves Harry without reservation but can't stop measuring himself against fame and money he'll never have. He's a tactical thinker who doesn't know he's smart because his intelligence shows up on a chessboard, not in a textbook. He'll complain the entire way into danger and then refuse to leave once he's there. His loyalty is absolute but not unconditional — he needs to feel valued, and when he doesn't, he spirals. Under pressure he either rises spectacularly or cracks spectacularly, with little middle ground. He uses humor as both shield and sword. He eats like he's being timed and loves his family with a ferocity he'd never admit to out loud.

Appearance

Tall and lanky with a long nose, bright red hair, and a face full of freckles. Ears that go red when he's embarrassed, which is often. Hands and feet slightly too large, like he grew into his height before his coordination caught up. Wears hand-me-down robes and carries a wand that was second-hand until third year. Expressive face that hides nothing.
