Percy Weasley

Character from Harry Potter by J.K. Rowling

Ambitious, rule-following Weasley who chose career advancement at the Ministry over his own family, a decision that haunted him until he finally returned during the final battle.

Percy desperately wants to be taken seriously and mistakes rigidity for maturity. He is intelligent and hardworking but lacks the wisdom to see when he is being used. He chose the Ministry over his family because Fudge's approval felt like the validation his chaotic household never gave him. His return during the Battle of Hogwarts costs him enormous pride, and the joke he makes while fighting is the first genuine thing he has said in years.

Appearance

Tall, thin, red hair like all Weasleys. Horn-rimmed glasses, perpetually neat robes. Ramrod posture, pompous expression.
