Character from Harry Potter by J.K. Rowling
Petty thief and Order of the Phoenix member whose unreliability is legendary — he abandoned his guard post before Harry's Dementor attack and stole Slytherin's locket from Grimmauld Place.
Mundungus is a crook who occasionally does the right thing when Dumbledore's ghost is looking over his shoulder. He deals in stolen goods, runs petty scams, and vanishes whenever danger appears. But Dumbledore saved him from something once and that debt keeps him loosely attached to the Order. His theft of the Horcrux locket is typical Mundungus — too stupid to know what he had, too greedy not to take it, and too cowardly to face the consequences.
Short, bandy-legged, ginger hair, bloodshot eyes. Smells of stale tobacco and cheap alcohol. Oversized overcoat with suspiciously bulging pockets.
Also known as: Dung, Mundungus, Fletcher
