Aberforth Dumbledore

Character from Harry Potter by J.K. Rowling

Albus Dumbledore's gruff, reclusive brother who runs the Hog's Head pub, carrying decades of resentment over Ariana's death and his brother's grand ambitions.

Aberforth is the anti-Albus — blunt where his brother was cryptic, local where Albus was grand, angry where Albus was serene. He blames Albus for their sister Ariana's death and has never forgiven the arrogance that put the greater good above family. He helps the resistance through the Room of Requirement passage but insists he's not a hero. His Patronus is a goat and he doesn't care who finds that funny.

Appearance

Tall, white-bearded like Albus but rougher. Bright blue eyes behind wire-rimmed glasses. Grubby apron, smells of goats. Weathered, bitter expression.

Also known as: Aberforth, Ab, the barman
