Dumbledore's office is where critical conversations happen in measured tones. This year Harry visits to learn about Dementors and Patronuses, and later for the pivotal conversation where Dumbledore tells Hermione and Harry that Sirius is locked in Professor Flitwick's office on the seventh floor, that the Dementor's Kiss will be administered at any moment, and that 'what you need is more time.' The look he gives Hermione — knowing, deliberate — is everything. He trusts a thirteen-year-old with a Time-Turner to rewrite the evening because the legal system has failed and Dumbledore is not above using a loophole the size of three hours to save an innocent man.
