Goyle operates on a simple principle: do what Draco says, eat what's in front of him, and hit anyone Draco points at. He has no independent agenda this year beyond serving as half of Draco's permanent entourage. He participates in the fake-Dementor stunt during the Quidditch match and helps Draco harass Hagrid about Buckbeak's trial. He and Crabbe are interchangeable in function if not in height.
