The Burrow

Location from harry-potter-order-of-the-phoenix by

The Weasley family home -- quieter this year with Percy gone and the family clock permanently set to 'Mortal Peril.' Arthur recovers from Nagini's attack here. The ghoul in the attic still bangs on pipes.

The Burrow is strained this year. Percy's departure has left a wound the family doesn't know how to heal -- his empty chair at the table, the returned Christmas jumper, the letters Molly writes and doesn't send. Arthur recovers from Nagini's attack here during the Christmas holidays, cheerfully fascinated by Muggle medical techniques even while using them on his own wounds. But it is still the Burrow. Molly still cooks enough for twelve. The gnomes still infest the garden. The ghoul still bangs on the attic pipes. And for Harry, it is still more home than Privet Drive has ever been.

Appearance

A tall, narrow house held together by magic, leaning at angles that defy architecture. A garden full of wellington boots and gnomes. Chickens in the yard. Inside: the Weasley family clock with every hand on 'Mortal Peril,' Molly's cooking, mismatched furniture, and the quiet absence of Percy.

Also known as: the Burrow, The Burrow, the Weasley house
