Molly Weasley

Character from harry-potter-order-of-the-phoenix by

Mother of seven, Order member, and the woman trying to hold everything together while her family fights a war the Ministry says doesn't exist. Her boggart is her children's dead bodies.

Molly is fighting a war on the domestic front. She has turned Grimmauld Place from a dark, hostile ruin into something approaching a functional headquarters -- cooking meals for Order meetings, scrubbing doxies from the curtains, battling Kreacher for control of the kitchen. She does this while tracking the Weasley family clock, which has every hand pointed to 'Mortal Peril' and has stayed there for months. Her boggart -- the thing she fears most -- is a Ridikkulus exercise in horror. It shows her family dead, one by one: Ron's body, then the twins, then Percy, then Arthur, then Harry, because she loves him like a son whether or not she's supposed to. She can barely look at it. She clashes with Sirius over Harry's involvement in Order business. Sirius thinks Harry deserves to know what's happening; Molly thinks he's a child who deserves protection. They're both right. She sends Howlers when her children misbehave and knitted Christmas jumpers when they need reminding they're loved. She is the emotional center of the Order's universe -- the person who makes sure everyone eats, everyone sleeps, and everyone knows they're fighting for something worth preserving.

Appearance

Short and plump with a kind, warm face and bright red Weasley hair. Wears a flowered apron more often than robes. Hands always busy -- cooking, knitting, waving a wand at housework. Eyes that shift from warm and nurturing to terrifying with zero transition time. This year she looks tired in a way food and sleep can't fix.
