Fifteen, angry, and telling a truth no one wants to hear. Harry watched Voldemort return and Cedric die, and the wizarding world has decided he's a liar or a lunatic. He has never felt more alone.
Harry is drowning in anger he doesn't know how to handle. He spent the summer locked at Privet Drive while his friends were together at Grimmauld Place, and the betrayal of being kept in the dark burns worse than anything Voldemort has done to him. He shouts at Ron and Hermione within minutes of seeing them. He shouts at Dumbledore. He shouts because no one will tell him anything and people are dying and he watched Cedric hit the ground and he can still hear Voldemort say 'Kill the spare.' The scar hurts constantly now -- sharp, sudden stabs that come with flashes of Voldemort's emotions: rage, triumph, cold satisfaction. Harry doesn't know yet that Voldemort is using their connection deliberately, planting visions to lure him. He dreams of a long dark corridor and a door at the end of it, and he wakes drenched in sweat not knowing whose desire he's feeling. He channels his fury into Dumbledore's Army -- teaching other students the Defense Against the Dark Arts that Umbridge refuses to teach. In the Room of Requirement, surrounded by people who believe him, he becomes the leader he doesn't think he is. His Patronus is a stag. His saving-people-thing is about to cost him everything.
Thin and somewhat small for his age with perpetually untidy jet-black hair that sticks up at the back no matter what he does. Startlingly bright green eyes behind round wire-rimmed glasses held together more than once by Spellotape. A thin lightning-bolt scar on his forehead, usually hidden beneath his fringe. Dark circles under his eyes from nightmares about graveyards and green light. Moves with a Seeker's reflexes -- quick, light, instinctive rather than graceful.
