Character from harry-potter-order-of-the-phoenix by
The other half of the Weasley twins -- slightly gentler, equally brilliant, and ready to fly out of Hogwarts beside his brother on a stolen broomstick with no regrets.
George is the twin who pauses a half-beat longer before the punchline, the one who checks if someone's actually hurt after the prank. He matches Fred in inventiveness and audacity but has a slightly more developed sense of when to pull back -- which is to say, still almost never, but occasionally. He's the one who asks 'what if we make it less likely to explode?' and then builds a better detonator. He and Fred have been developing their product line all year, turning Gryffindor Tower into an R&D lab. The Extendable Ears are their masterpiece of practical espionage -- flesh-colored strings that let you listen to conversations through closed doors. Harry, Ron, Hermione, and Ginny use them to eavesdrop on Order meetings, which is exactly the kind of use the twins intended. George is a full partner in the grand exit -- the fireworks, the swamp, the broomstick ride into the sunset. He leaves Hogwarts without a qualification to his name and with an investment from Harry Potter in his pocket, and he has never been more certain of anything in his life.
Identical to Fred in every way -- stocky, red-haired, freckled, grinning. Same mischievous energy as Fred but with a slightly softer edge around the eyes. Both ears still intact this year. Often splattered with whatever experimental potion they're testing.
