Ron is the Gryffindor Keeper again and plays brilliantly when he thinks Harry has spiked his drink with Felix Felicis — Harry hasn't, it's pure confidence, but it works. He starts dating Lavender Brown in a fit of jealousy after learning Hermione kissed Viktor Krum two years ago. The relationship is all snogging and no conversation and Ron is miserable. He accidentally eats love-potion-spiked chocolates meant for Harry, and while being treated in Slughorn's office, drinks poisoned mead that Draco intended for Dumbledore. Harry saves his life with a bezoar. In the hospital wing, delirious, Ron mumbles 'Hermione' — not 'Lavender.' Everyone hears it.
